BoSS, IMF Wrap Up Financial Statistics Training

Juba, 7th Nov. 2025- A five-day training organized by the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) through its Directorate of Policy, Research, and Statistics has concluded in Juba, bringing together participants from the BoSS and the National Ministry of Finance and Planning.

The program focused on government Financial Statistics (GFS), aimed at improving data quality and aligning national financial reports with IMF international standards.

The First Deputy Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, Hon. Samuel Yanga Mikaya attended the closing session, where participants underscored the importance of accurate and timely financial data in guiding sound policy decisions and promoting transparency.

The training, facilitated by experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), emphasized strengthening institutional cooperation, identifying reliable data sources, and reducing information gaps in government financial reporting
The program concluded with the adoption of a framework for continued collaboration between the Bank of South Sudan, the Ministry of Finance and Planning, and other key institutions to enhance data consistency and reporting standards.
