BoSS Wraps Up Workshop on Strengthening Financial Sector

Juba, 13 Nov. 2025 – The Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) has concluded a two-day Strategy Validation Workshop on Diagnostic Studies of South Sudan’s Economy under the World Bank, supported Strengthening South Sudan Financial Sector (3SF) Project.

BoSS Acting Governor, Hon. Rita Nyankiir Akoon, called for the swift implementation of the workshop’s recommendations to enhance the country’s financial stability and growth.

Dr. Majok Mading, Director General for Supervision and Regulation, said the diagnostic report will serve as a roadmap for policy direction and institutional reform.

The workshop brought together representatives from Commercial Banks, South Sudan Bankers Association, mobile money operators, insurance firms, and key government institutions.

The event concluded with the adoption of the draft Diagnostic Report and Financial Sector Development.
