Former BoSS Governor hands over office to successor
As part of the leadership transition, the former Governor Hon. Dr. James Alic handed over office to his successor new BoSS governor Hon. Johnny Ohisa, and the two shared notes on Thursday.
Dr. Alic paid a courtesy visit to his successor in his office, to update him on the policies and projects the bank has initiated. “What we did today, is that the new incoming team, led by Hon. Johnny Ohisa, would pick up and build on from where we have left. I will use this opportunity to highlight three things. “One is for him to look at the policies of the last administration, review them and move forward. Number two is to look at the projects the Bank of South Sudan has invested much time on and also have to look at the staff welfare as well.’’
For his part, the newly appointed governor of the Bank of South Sudan, appreciated Dr. James Alic for an exemplary leadership. ‘’ I want to thank my brother, Hon. Dr. James Alic. We have known each other for a long time. I am very happy for him to update me on the projects he has initiated and what I should do to finish them. I promise him that I will continue the unfinished projects as he has done when he took over from me. This building (Bank headquarters) and Bank Mansion’s construction were started, and he came to finish them.”
Governor Ohisa pledged to continue the projects initiated by Dr. James Alic as he took over the leadership. ‘’We will continue to tap on him, to go and look for ideas because this country needs all of us to build. So, I am very happy and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,”
Today’s meeting demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt, a smooth transition of office, and remains an example to be emulated.
