Governor Ohisa, Digitel Vice-President Discuss Mobile Money Expansion

Juba, February 19th, 2026- Governor, Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Hon. Johnny Ohisa Damian, met with the Digitel Executive Vice President, De Chan Awuol, to discuss ways the mobile network operators can support the country’s monetary policy.

The discussions focused on expanding Digitel’s mobile money service, ‘Digicash’ to boost digital transactions.

Digital banking helps improve financial inclusion, speed up and secure transactions, ease access to savings and credit, and enhance transparency. The two officials agreed to hold regular meetings to track progress.
