South Sudan and IOM Strengthen Migration Partnership

Washington D.C., October 15, 2025 – During the 2025 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings, Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, Hon. Dr. Addis Ababa Othow, and Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon. Athian Ding Athian, held a sideline meeting with International Organization for Migration (IOM) Director General, Amy Pope, to discuss scaling up migration programs in South Sudan.
The meeting focused on improving coordination between the South Sudanese government and international partners, aligning ongoing initiatives to better address the needs of vulnerable populations and streamline project implementation.
In attendance were South Sudan’s Undersecretary for Planning, Hon. Benjamin Ayali, and Ambassador to the U.S., H.E. Santino Fardol among others.
