US Ambassador pays courtesy visit to BoSS head office


Issues of pertinence relating to bilateral relations between the US and South Sudan was discussed in a meeting between the US Ambassador to South Sudan Michael J. Adler and the Governor of the Bank of South Sudan Hon. Dr. James Alic.

The meeting comes in the run up to the visit of the bank’s governor to Washington later this month for IMF and World Bank meetings.

The governor appreciated the Ambassador for the courtesy call and expressed optimism that the US administration will support South Sudan as the country embarks on financial reforms in the country.

On his part the Ambassador was delighted by the engagement with the governor, as he expressed his government’s commitment to assist South Sudan provided the country exercises transparency in the management of resources.
Governor Alic noted the importance of reforms in the country and said South Sudan is willing to improve its performance to measure up with international standards.
