BoSS Holds Consultative Meeting on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

Juba, 7th November 2025 – First Deputy Governor, Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Hon. Samuel Yanga Mikaya, hailed on Friday the significance of convening a meeting on the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment. As part and parcel of Strengthening South Sudan’s Financial Sector (3SF) Project, the one-day workshop was held at BoSS headquarters.

It brought together a constellation of consultants, BoSS officials, and technical experts to review and validate the assessment findings.“We are grateful to the World Bank for its continued support in strengthening South Sudan’s financial sector. We also remain committed to ensuring that the 3SF Project is implemented responsibly and sustainably,” Hon. Yanga said.
He further reaffirmed BoSS’ commitment to sustainable development, noting that such consultations are critical for promoting inclusive economic growth.
Dr. Chan Andrea, Director General of Currency and Bank Operations, appreciated the World Bank’s partnership. “This consultation is a vital step in engaging communities, understanding potential impacts, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for South Sudan’s financial sector,” he said.
