Juba, 11 Nov. 2025- The Union of Journalists of South Sudan (UJOSS) has applauded the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) leadership for recognizing the vital role of the media in educating the public on the country’s transitioning to the digital banking system.

Speaking during a meeting at the BoSS headquarters on Monday, UJOSS Secretary-General Majak Daniel Kuany expressed gratitude to the Bank’s leadership for consistently involving journalists in its initiatives.

He said the Bank’s recent engagement with media houses helped equip journalists with accurate information on digital banking, enabling them to report from an informed perspective.

BoSS Governor Dr. Addis Ababa Othow Akongdit commended the media for their role in raising public awareness and urged journalists to continue providing accurate information about digital payments.

Director General for Administration and Human Resources, David Manyuon Nak, expressed his appreciation to journalists for their contributions.

The UJOSS leaders also briefed the Bank’s leadership on the upcoming Journalism Excellence Awards, which will recognize outstanding reporting, including in economic and business journalism.
