Governor Ohisa Pledges to Strengthen Staff Welfare and Financial Services

Juba, January 26, 2026-Governor, Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Hon. Johnny Ohisa Damian, has pledged to enhance banking services and strengthen staff welfare, promising to build on the progress achieved by his predecessor.

Speaking during his reception at the BoSS headquarters in Juba on Monday, Governor Ohisa commended staff for their cooperation and called for continued collaboration to address challenges facing the financial sector. He emphasized his commitment to improving the quality and efficiency of banking services.
The First Deputy Governor for Policy and Banking, Hon. Samuel Yanga Mikaya, noted that the bank has developed strategies aimed at enhancing financial services and said BoSS will work closely with the Ministry of Finance to support the country’s macroeconomic growth.
The Second Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance, Hon. Rita Nyankiir Akoon, congratulated the governor and affirmed that staff are ready to support the new administration.
Meanwhile, Mario Konyen Joseph Nakuwa, a representative of the Staff Trade Workers Union, also congratulated Governor Ohisa, expressing optimism for a “new journey” under his leadership and commending his technical competence.
