BoSS Reviews Monetary Policy Communication Strategy

Juba, March 24, 2026-The Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), through its Directorate of Research and Economic Analysis, convened a meeting to review the draft Monetary Policy Communication Strategy 2026.


The strategy aims to establish a clear, consistent, and credible framework for communicating monetary policy decisions, including interest rates, reserve requirements, and liquidity measures as well as policy objectives and economic outlooks to key stakeholders. These include government institutions, financial institutions, businesses, and the public.



The document outlines approach for communicating policy decisions and forward guidance, enhancing public understanding of monetary policy, strengthening market confidence, and supporting accountability through guiding principles.
The meeting was chaired by Director General for Research and Economic Analysis, Abugo Charles Joseph Abate, and attended by senior officials from the directorate, along with the Director of Communication and Public Relations.
