BoSS upgrades supervision software
Story by: Daniel Mareng Wek
Consultants from the Bank of Mozambique have begun upgrading the Banking Supervision’s software to version 5.
This upgrade is meant to enhance information sharing across commercial banks, forex bureaus, micro finance institutions, and other regulated entities in line with the Bank of South Sudan’s Act (2011, as amended).
The new system addresses gaps from the previous version and seeks to streamline regulatory processes, improve transparency, strengthen financial sector stability and boost public confidence in South Sudan’s financial system.
The team of consultants are currently in Juba, conducting internal training sessions from October 14 to November 1, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition and full adoption of the enhanced software.
