IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings Conclude as BoSS Governor Engages Global Financial Leaders

Bangkok, Thailand, October 17, 2026- -The International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Annual Meetings have concluded in Bangkok, Thailand with global economic resilience, financial stability and international cooperation taking centre stage.

Bank of South Sudan Governor Dr. Addis Ababa Othow participated in a series of high-level engagements on monetary policy, digital payment systems, regional financial integration and international cooperation.

The meetings brought together central bank governors, finance ministers, development partners, private-sector leaders and policymakers from around the world.

Governor Othow’s participation provided opportunities to exchange policy experiences, strengthen institutional partnerships and explore approaches to improving South Sudan’s financial system and economic resilience.

The meetings concluded with calls for stronger international cooperation, sound economic policies and sustainable investment amid global economic uncertainty.
