National sports minister tours BoSS head office
BoSS Administration has agreed to provide the conference hall for the National Ministry of Youth and Sports to host the upcoming Sports Conference. The event aims to foster discussions on improving sports and accelerating investment opportunities in the sector.
Ministry officials toured the bank’s offices, sports, and conference halls, with preparations well underway for the event, which is expected to be attended by the delegates from across the country and other nations.
Speaking during the courtesy visit, Dr. Joseph Geng Akec, the National Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed gratitude to the bank for offering the conference hall free of charge. He commended the bank’s administration, particularly Dr. Alic, for playing a pivotal role in transforming and expanding financial services in the country.
Dr. Geng also praised the bank’s leadership for ensuring the recruitment of young professionals through a fair and transparent processes, emphasizing the bank’s transformative role in contributing to the nation’s prosperity.
On the other hand, the bank’s governor reaffirmed his commitment to shaping the country’s monetary policy and investing in human resource development. He highlighted the recruitment of talented young men and women as a testament to the bank’s dedication to fostering economic growth and development.
The meeting touched on the importance of sports as a unifying force that promotes a positive global image of South Sudan. They also highlighted the recent achievement of the South Sudan basketball team, which represented Africa at the Paris Games, praising the team for showcasing South Sudan’s talent to the world.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Bank of South Sudan, including the bank’s First Deputy Governor Hon. Samuel Yanga and the Ministry’s Undersecretary, among others.
