President Kiir installs new BoSS Governor
The President of the Republic, H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, has given the new BoSS leadership clear directives to work to stabilize the nation’s finance sector, calling for collective responsibility in addressing current economic challenges facing the country.
The president made this remark during the swearing in ceremony of Hon. Johnny Ohisa and his First Deputy, Hon. Yeni Samuel Costa, at the State House on Wednesday 11th December 2024.
President Kiir stressed the urgency of addressing the socioeconomic crisis straining citizens of the country.
Upon arrival at the Bank, the new governor thanked the staff for their patience and dedication as they serve the nation. He said the president has given him a clear directive to address the challenges facing the banking sector and the country.
The new BoSS governor gave a one-month salary to staff as he commenced his duties.

At the Board room the new governor greeted the board members and directors general, stressing the directive of the president to find solutions to the banking and finance sector. “We want to work together as a family to move ahead and establish where we went wrong and how can we fix this,” the governor said.
“Let us see the commercial banks to discuss challenges. My office is open. I cannot fix these problems alone; I need the cooperation of all Directors General and the staff to find solutions to the challenges,” Governor Ohisa said.
