BoSS Receives AFRACA Membership Certificate

Juba, March 3rd, 2026- – Governor, Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Hon. Johnny Ohisa Damian on Tuesday received a membership certificate from the African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA).
The certificate was presented by the BoSS’ Director General for Economic Research and Analysis, Charles Abugo Jospeh. This signals South Sudan’s commitment to strengthening agricultural finance, rural development, and regional cooperation.
Through AFRACA, BoSS will enhance institutional capacity, engage in peer learning, and play a more active role in shaping regional agricultural finance policies. In attendance were the First Deputy Governor Policy and Banking, Hon. Tong Akec Deng and Second Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance, Hon. Weituy Luony Babouth.
Established in 1977, AFRACA is a Pan-African association comprising of Central Banks, Commercial Banks, Agricultural and Development Banks, Microfinance institutions, and training institutions across 30 countries.
