With the advent of the festivities’ season and expected rise in demand for dollars, the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), has decided to double the amount of its foreign exchange intervention.
Accordingly, the Central Bank will revert back to conduct weekly foreign exchange auction for banks and forex bureaus, with immediate effect. Auction for commercial banks will be conducted every Monday, while for forex bureaus every Thursday.
The Bank of South Sudan is also prepared to inject additional FX should there be a need to do so, and with the view to maintaining stability in the foreign exchange market.
